2022 LCA President Michael Ehrenstein Interviews Senior Fellow Greg Hahn

Dear Fellows,

Trial Lawyers Do Well by Doing Good

As trial lawyers, we often get a “bum rap.” We are frequently portrayed as selfish parasites benefitting from the misery of others. But the opposite is true. Though not commonly recognized as the environment where sweet souls flourish, the best litigators excel precisely because they are imbued with the humanity and selfless compassion to help others less fortunate.

Why I Asked LCA Senior Fellow Greg Hahn About Community and Philanthropic Involvement

Greg epitomizes the trial lawyer who excels by caring deeply about others. A partner at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, Greg concentrates his practice in corporate law and business litigation. He has successfully represented some of the biggest clients involved in some of the gnarliest matters. When he is not in court, Greg devotes enormous time and resources to his community and philanthropic endeavors, serving on the Indiana Sports Corporation, the Indianapolis Private Industry Council, the City- County Council and the Indianapolis Public Transportation Board. He is vice president of the Central Indiana Community Foundation and is on the board of the Indianapolis Foundation (former chairman of the board), as well as the English Foundation.

Greg is very involved in the nonprofit community, either currently serving or formerly having served as a member of the boards of the Starfish Initiative; the Athenaeum Foundation Board; Indianapolis Foundation Board of Trustees; Central Indiana Community Foundation Board of Trustees; The English Foundation Board of Trustees; St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; Area Youth Ministry Board; Board of Trustees of the University of Evansville; Washington Township Foundation Board; Pathways House, Inc.; Indianapolis Opera Corporation; Pleasant Run Children’s Home; Rock Steady Boxing Foundation; and the Allisonville Little League.

Recently, Greg graciously shared with me his views on the nexus between his practice and his community involvement and philanthropy. I encourage you to watch our conversation HERE.

Our next in-person meeting will be October 12-14, 2022

Steve and Dottie Henry, and the fabulous LCA team have finalized plans for our next Conference and Celebration of Fellows which will take place on October 12-14 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. You can view the conference details and registration HERE. I look forward to seeing you in person in California! In the meantime, if you will be in South Florida, please let Theresa and me show you some hospitality.

Very truly yours,

Michael Ehrenstein
