Ohio Fellow Laurie J. Avery Selected as one of Toledo’s “20 Under 40” Leadership Award Honorees

Laurie J. Avery, Managing Partner at Reminger Co., LPA in Toledo, was selected by the Toledo Business Journal as one of its “20 Under 40” Leadership Award honorees. This 14th annual award recognizes the outstanding community contributions and career achievements of twenty Northwestern Ohio business professionals age 40 and under.
A panel of judges reviewed more than one hundred and fifty “20 Under 40” entries and scored each nominee on professional accomplishments and community involvement, with the highest twenty scores determining this year’s elite class of honorees.
“This recognition comes as a result of hard work and an exploding reputation,” said Stephen E. Walters, Managing Partner of Reminger. “The firm is extremely proud of Laurie’s accomplishments both in and out of the courtroom.”
A native of Perrysburg, Ohio, Laurie has successfully defended more than 25 jury trials in matters ranging from employment discrimination, professional malpractice, general insurance and commercial disputes. She represents professionals and businesses on a wide range of matters in both state and federal courts in Ohio and Michigan. Laurie is a founding member of a local Working Mom’s Group and has been involved with numerous community events and outreach programs, including Meals on Wheels, Ohio Reads and the United States District Court Pro Bono program. She is also a contributing author for the Baldwins Ohio Practice Series on Tort Law and serves on the Bar Admissions, Grievance Investigation and Diversity Committees for the Toledo Bar Association.
